Panama one step closer to entering Pacific Alliance

Panama and Mexico will sign today a bilateral free trade agreement.
The accord moves Panama a step closer to becoming a member of the Pacific Alliance, a trade bloc made up of Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru and which accounts for 40 percent of Latin America's gross domestic product.
The accord will be signed by Mexican Secretary of Economy Ildefonso Guajardo, and Panama's Minister for Trade and Industry, Ricardo Quijano, at the World Economic Forum for Latin America.
