Panama optimistic on outlook on trade with Bahamas

Officials from Panama and the Bahamas are optimistic that trade between the two countries will be on the rise in the coming years.

Panama is emerging as a credible alternative to the United States when it comes to imports to the Bahamas, said Winston Rolle, CEO of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation.

Executives at Copa Airlines have identified language differences and general awareness of Latin America to be temporary barriers to future growth.
