Panama performs poorly in economic freedom

Panama's index of economic freedom continues to show poor performance, according to the latest study by the country's enterprise executives' association.
In April last year, Panama's score was 2.92, while in the same month this year it went down to 2.85, in a scale from one to five.
Economist Juan Jované said the drop is due to the perceived corruption in the government's handling of public funds.
