Panama proposes laws to boost small firms

Monday, January 27, 2014

The Government of Panama will propose four laws which aim to boost small enterprises and competitiveness.

The laws would ease access to credit and eliminate obstacles for small enterprises to become formal companies.

The country's microcredit sector is already growing, with a 19 percent increase in its loans portfolio up to October last year, reaching $6.9 billion.
