Panama rejects lawsuit over Canal project
Wednesday, May 29, 2013
The Panama Canal Authority has rejected a lawsuit from GUPC, the company in charge of building the third set of locks in the Canal expansion project.
The lawsuit was for $573 million, and GUPC claims there is a breach of contract.
The Canal project has a six-month delay, which the company attributes to a slow authorization process for new cement mixes from the Authority.
