Panama's Airport is best

Panama’s Tocumen International is the best airport in Central America, according to the 2013 ediition of an worldwide rating, done by British research agency Skytrax.

On a global scale, Tocumen is in 77th place.

Regionally, Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaria Airport is in second position, while La Aurora in Guatemala is last. Honduras was not included in the measurement.

The world index is headed by Singapore’s Changui. Ben Gurion airport in Israel is last.

The index is based on a total of 12 million customer surveys in 108 countries, taking into account such factors as registration process, on-time performance, ease of transfers and security (the numbers indicate the ranking of Central American airports).
