Panama’s Balboa Bank unable to pay debts

Strategic Investors Group, the holding company of Panama’s Balboa Bank and Balboa Securities, reported that it can't pay a $4.8 million interest payment that is due at the end of the month.

The holding company has notified the Superintendent of Securities that it can't make the payment to bondholders.
