Panama's Banco Universal reopens for business

Tuesday, March 1, 2016

Panama’s Banco Universal will resume normal operations today after the Superintendency of Banks lifted the reorganization measure which transferred control to its new shareholders, Canal Bank.

The reopening provides relief from the restrictions on the accounts of customers. In March, they may withdraw up to $15,000 from each account.
