Panama's business leaders less optimistic

Wednesday, July 31, 2013

Panamanian business leaders expect the country's economy to grow, but at a slower rate than previous years.

This year, the economy is expected to grow 8 percent, below the last two years' double-digit growth, according to the Panamanian Enterprise Association.

The slump is mainly due to problems in the Colón Free Trade Zone and less traffic through the Panama Canal.
