Panama’s Colón Free Zone rakes in $4 billion trade within just two months

In the first two months of the year, the Colón Free Zone in Panama recorded $4.06 billion in trade, a 62 percent increase on the same month of last year.

Both imports and exports increased substantially.

The zone was severely hit by the global financial crisis. In 2009, its total trade dropped by 11 percent.
