Economic activity of Panama rose by 7.22 percent in the first two quarters of this year, compared with the same period a year earlier.
 
The monthly index of economic activity shows that the sectors that contributed to the growth were storage, communications, commerce and mining.
 
The first quarters of this year also showed increases in community and personal services, as well as hotels and restaurants.
