Panama's economy could grow by 7 percent this year

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Panama's economy could grow by 6.5 to 7 percent this year, economists say.

The forecast is based on the sustained growth of the economy during recent years and the fall in unemployment.

"I think that all sectors are going to continue with robust growth. Foreign direct investment will be high and we'll have another good year," said economist Domingo Latorraca.
