Panama's economy grows 7 percent in first half

The economy of Panama grew 7 percent in the first half of the year, according to government figures.

Mining, tourism, fishing and casinos were among the top contributors to the country's economy.

But the Colón free trade zone has seen less activity, due to a tax dispute with Colombia and heavy debt from Venezuela.
