Panama's economy to grow 8.5 percent this year

Panama's economy will grow 8.5 percent this year, despite external factors causing it to gradually slow down, Panama's Economy MInister Frank de Lima said.
The figure is higher than the World Bank and International Monetary Fund's forecast of 7.5 percent.
"This slow growth is the result of sluggish international trade, which affected Panama's ports, Colón free trade zone and the Canal," the minister said.
