Panama's ports handle 1.9 percent more cargo

Panama's ports handled 1.9 percent more cargo from January to September this year, than the same period in 2013, the country's maritime authority said.

The figure represents more than 5.04 million TEUs or 20-foot containers.

The Port of Balboa registered most growtt, with 3 percent.
