Panama seeks to become foreign investment hub

Panama's Minister for trade and industry, Melitón Ochoa, said he will aim to make the country a hub for foreign direct investment.

He added that the European and American markets are sufficiently covered, which is why he will focus on Asian markets to boost Panama's trade.

The Central American country has nine free trade agreements with Asian and Latin American countries.
