Panama spends $82 million on looking gas subsidies

Although oil prices have dropped almost 70 percent in the last year, the Panama government only saved $5.7 million, or 6.5 percent, in its subsidy for 25-pound gas tanks used for cooking as compared with the previous year.

The state spent $82 million on the subsidy in 2015, according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
