Panama-Tampa air traffic has doubled: Copa

Traffic has doubled between Tampa and Panama City, Panama, since Copa Airlines began nonstop service between the two cities less than two years ago.

"People travel less when there are no easy flights," Copa Airlines CEO Pedro Heilbron said.

Copa will debut new seasonal daily flights to Panama City and back in November for the holidays, and Helibron said he hopes to make the daily flights permanent next year.
