Panama to host next year's Iberoamerican Summit

King Juan Carlos of Spain closed the 22nd Iberoamerican Summit in Cadiz, Spain on Saturday November 17, after sessions dominated by discussions about the economic crisis in Europe and the growth in Latin America.

"The Ibero-American community must look with new eyes at how far we have come and how much we still have to do," said the Spanish Head of State in his c;osing speech.

Panama will host the next conference in 2013 and Juan Carlos said that he is confident that the event will be a success due to the "verve and imagination" that characterizes the Panamanian people.
