Panama, USA could modify information accord

The Government of Panama is analysing whether or not to make changes to the information exchange accord with the United States.

The aim is to establish if Panama is ready for the requirements of the USA's Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act.

Panamanian Economy minister Frank de Lima held a meeting with bankers for talks concerning the modifications that would lead to a bilateral accord.
