Polaris Energy ready to boost Nicaraguan geothermal plant to 36 megawatts

Polaris Energy de Nicaragua said that work on its extension of the San Jacinto-Tizate geothermal field to 36 megawatts should be concluded by July.
The company, a unit of Canada’s Polaris Geothermal, currently produces 10 megawatts at the field.
In the second phase of the project, Polaris is sltaed to reach 72 megawatts by February of next year.
