Portability moves Costa Rica cellular market

 

Almost a quarter of a million people in Costa Rica have changed their cellphone operator thanks to number portability, and Spanish company Movistar has been the biggest winner.

The market remains volatile, however, with rapid swings marked by promotions that emphasize customer loyalty.
