PriceSmart to expand operations in Colombia

U.S. membership warehouse company PriceSmart announced an expansion plan in Colombia which could trigger a low price competition in the country.

This year, the company expects to open three stores, in Bogotá, Medellín and Pereira.

Although the company withheld the investment amount, the new stores are expected to create some 600 new jobs.
