Private health is a growing business in Costa Rica

Private health companies in Costa Rica have seen considerable growth over the last years, mainly due to slow or inefficient service from the state-owned health provider, known as CCSS.

Clínica Bíblica Hospital, a private healthcare provider established in Costa Rica in 1929, is planning to expand to four other regions in the country.

It recently invested $15 million in its main building in San José, where a helipad was installed, as well as a car park for 640 vehicles.
