Qatar seeks Costa Rica foothold for investment

Given that the days of its oil wealth are numbered, Qatar is seeking business opportunities and investments all over the world.

The opening of an embassy by the emirate in Costa Rica, before the end of this year, will help to clear the way for investments in clean energy and other areas.

Costa Rica has a relatively small potential for the relative size of Qatar’s investment ambitions. However it could provide a springboard for projects in the region.
