Red tape tangles ferry between Costa Rica and El Salvador

The red tape surrounding port, customs, migration and public health regulations has cooled the interest of the two shipping companies that were interested in the project.

The ferry would have been of considerable help en easing trade in the region that has been interrupted by the crisis in Nicaragua.

A ferry would reduce the volume of containers required to carry the trade several times over.
