Region aims to create clean energy corridor

The International Renewable Energy Agency and nations in Central America have advanced an initiative to develop a “clean energy corridor” to boost the contribution of renewables in the region’s electricity supply mix.

The corridor stretches from Guatemala to Panama, a region with 40 million population and more than 3 percent annual economic growth.
