Region pushes for rail and sea connection systems

The Mesoamerica Integration and Development project is studying the possibility of a rail and sea system to ease trade throughout Central America.
The main goal is to create a rail system, for which the member countries have agreed to seek financing for feasibility studies.
The project members are Mexico, Colombia, all Central American countries and the Dominican Republic.
