Region’s trade accord with Europe could face delay

Ratification and implementation of the association accord between Central America and the European Union could be delayed because of the threat of a severe economic crisis in Europe.

Rafael Señán, head of the European Union’s delegation in El Salvador, explained that Europe is facing difficult times.

The accord with Central America might have to take a back seat as Europe’s leaders face other priorities.
