Region seen growing 3.9 percent this year

Central America is seen growing 3.9 percent this year, according to estimates by the Central American Economic Integration System.

Leading growth this year is Panama, expected to grow 6.9 percent, followed by Nicaragua with 4 percent, Costa Rica with 3.8 percent and Guatemala with 3.4 percent.

But projections for Honduras and El Salvador are the lowest, at 2.8 and 1.7 percent respectively.
