Regional trade deficit grew by almost 5 percent

Central America's trade deficit grew by 4.8 percent during 2012, compared to the previous year, said the Central American Integration System.
The figure represents a deficit that grew from $26 billion in 2011, to $27.3 billion in 2012.
Central America exported goods worth $29.7 billion last year, a 7 percent growth compared to 2011.
