Remittances to Guatemala up 9 percent

Guatemala received $1.7 billion in remittances between January and February this year, the Bank of Guatemala said.

The figure is 9 percent higher than for the same period last year.

This year, the bank expects Guatemala to receive 7 percent more remittances, $5.2 billion, than in 2013.
