Remittances to Honduras reach $3 billion

Remittances to Honduras reached $3 billion from January to September this year, according to the country's Finance Ministry.

The figure shows a 9 percent increase compared with the same period in 2013.

The main reason for the growth is that the United States, the source for most remittances to Central America, approved an increase in its minimum wage.
