Remittances to Nicaragua reach $834 million

Remittances to Nicaragua reached $834.7 million in the first nine months of the year, according to the country's central bank.

Of the total, $279 million were sent during the June-September period, the bank added.

The good performance in remittances is due to improved employment rates in the U.S. and Costa Rica.
