Remittances to Nicaragua up 5.8 percent

Nicaragua received 5.8 percent more remittances from January to April this year, compared with the same period last year, the central bank reported.

The figure remittances worth $368 million for the period.

Nicaragua received $1.07 billion in remittances for the whole of 2013, representing 9.6 percent of its gross domestic product.
