Remittances to Panama surge 16.8 percent

Remittances to Panama rose by 16.8 percent to $455 million in the first half of the year, the Economy Ministry reported.

Almost a third came from the United States, followed by Colombia at 8.7 percent and Costa Rica with 5.4 percent.
