Renewables surge in Guatemala

Guatemala generated 63 percent of its power from renewable sources during October, a boost from the 45 percent recorded in September, according to the latest report by the National Electric Energy Commission.

The increase in October was driven almost single-handedly by hydropower, which accounted for 60 percent of the total renewables share during the month, Renewables Now reports.
