Russia’s Solway takes over control of the FeNix ferro-nickel project in Guatemala that it acquired from Canada’s HudBay

Russian-owned Solway completed the acquisition of the FeNix ferro-nickel project that it acquired from Canada’s HudBay.

Solway is now working on the detailed engineering work of the project with a view to producing nickel as soon as possible.

The project is expected to have three stages. The third, within the fourth or fifth year of operations, is expected to reach production of 150,000 metric tons a year.
