Sandinismo and business, two sides to Nicaragua’s coin

Nicaragua’s economy is on a roll. More and more companies are launching ventures or expanding operations in the country.

At the same time, its reputation as a democracy is being severely questioned. Even so, the 4.5 percent growth achieved by the economy last year was the highest in Central America.

The Sandinista government expects the economic growth to continue with foreign investment this year reaching $1 billion.
