Scotiabank buys Citi in Panama and Costa Rica

 

Scotiabank announced that it has agreed to acquire the personal and commercial banking businesses of Citigroup in Panama and Costa Rica.

The accord is subject to approval by regulators. The Canadian bank wants the deal to lift its presence in both countries.
