Sensity Systems invests $490 million in El Salvador

Sensity Systems, a US technology company, announced this week a $490 million investment to start operations in El Salvador.

The company specializes in making LED systems, which can be used for traffic lights, CCTV cameras and weather monitoring equipment.

Salvadoran president Mauricio Funes welcomed the investment, referring to it as a possibility to "make our country a regional reference in technology".
