Severe drought adds to hunger in Guatemala

A severe drought in Guatemala has sparked a crisis in corn production, the ministry of Agriculture reported.

At least $6 million has been recorded in losses to harvests of corn and beans.

The problem is particularly severe because Guatemala already has high levels of malnutrition among children.
