Southwest begins Mexico flights

Monday, August 11, 2014

U.S.-based Southwest Airlines began operating in Mexico Sunday last week.

The company will compete with Mexico's Volaris and Interjet in the country's low-cost airline market.

The first flight was from Orange County to Los Cabos, and the company will soon begin flights from Denver to Mexico City and Cancun.
