Southwest builds US bridge to Costa Rica

Wednesday, January 9, 2019

Southwest Airlines is boosting its presence in Costa Rica with the opening of a cargo service, launched in November, between there and the United States.

Perishables, garments and technology are some of the leading products that can be sent to the US, said Wally Devereaux, the company's director of Cargo and Charters.

The cargo can be accommodated in the luggage compartments of Southwest's Boeing 737 airliners. Southwest will be able to transport cargo to any of its 100 destinations.
