Spain and SICA invest in regional integration

Spain is carrying out an 11-year investment program in Central America aimed at promoting regional integration and boosting the region's economies.

The $75-million program is a joint effort by the Spanish government and the Central American Integration System.

Among the projects are tourism development, boosting small enterprises, fighting organized crime, coping with climate change and strengthening government institutions.
