Starbucks exports Costa Rica agricultural program

Wednesday, October 24, 2012

Starbucks started to buy coffee grains from Costa Rica 40 years ago, and opened its first store there last June.

But Starbucks not only sells Costa Rican coffee. It also exports an agricultural program which started in the Central American country, and is now used in many parts of the world.

The program started in 2004, when Starbucks created its first global agricultural office, headquartered in Costa Rica.
