Friday, June 23, 2017

Starbucks is celebrating five years of operations in Costa Rica this week, and has announced its continued expansion both there and in the rest of Central America.

The chain has 35 stores in the region with 11 in both Costa Rica and El Salvador, seven in Guatemala, and six in Panama. Starbucks’ first outlet in Costa Rica opened at Avenida Escazú.

This year it will open five more in the isthmus: one in Costa Rica, one in Panama, two more in El Salvador, and possibly one in Guatemala, according to Mónica Bianchini, general director of Starbucks Central America.
