SunEdison reaches solar deal in Honduras

Global solar developer SunEdison has closed a $146 million debt facility to build 81.7M megawatts of solar power in Honduras.

The deal with the International Finance Corporation, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration and the OPEC Fund for International Development, will enable SunEdison to construct three grid-connected solar power plants in Honduras.

The projects are part of 600 Megwatt of solar power contracts awarded by the Central American country's government.
