Surge of 12 percent in credit card use in Costa Rica

The number of credit cards in Costa Rica grew by 12 percent year-on-year in April, according to the Economy ministry.

The growth reflects 7 percent growth in the economic activity of the country.

In particular, activity grew by 8 percent in financial services and insurance.
