Tahoe Resources under fire over Guatemala mine

Tahoe Resources is facing renewed scrutiny by a Canadian legal organization over its Guatemalan silver mine.

The Justice and Corporate Accountability Project, which represents human rights groups, recently asked the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate Tahoe Resources, the Canadian-based company that owns the Escobal Mine in southern Guatemala. The organizations allege the mining company did not disclose lawsuits to investors.
